Valencia Vikings High School Two N' Four Vocal Jazz Ensemble

Runner-up in the High School Vocal Division at the 2017 Next Generation Jazz Festival

Valencia Vocal Jazz Ensemble has received six DownBeat Awards, including the 2017 Winner of "Top High School Vocal Jazz Ensemble" (tied in this top honor with Folsom Jazz Choir). Last summer, Valencia Choir traveled to Paris, France to perform throughout the country and sing at the Notre Dame Cathedral, and the memorial at Normandy, France. In 2018 Valencia will tour to Spain. Valencia Vocal Jazz Two N' Four received First Place in the Fullerton Jazz Festival and first place in the California Verdugo Hills A Cappella Festival, winning the grand prize of $7,500. (It helped them financially for travel to Monterey!) They are most excited about hearing great music at the 60th weekend and are thrilled and honored to perform for you.

Valencia Choir is directed by Christine Tavares-Mocha. The Choir program has over 200 students within their six choirs. Christine Tavares-Mocha has been the choir director for 15 years. In her spare time, she loves nothing more than to spend time with her two-year-old son Jackson, one- month-old baby Cole, and husband, Scott.
