The Arena is a rustic, open-air structure centrally located on the Monterey Fairgrounds. Seating is available on the Arena floor, in Side Boxes and Side Bleachers and in Center Bleachers. All Arena seats are reserved and are sold as Arena Packages. Arena Packages include tickets for the same reserved seat at the Jimmy Lyons Stage in the Arena for all five shows over the Festival weekend, plus access to the Grounds for an additional 8 stages of simultaneous entertainment, including the Jazz Theater, Klub Korbel and the Bose Performance-at-Home Pavilion, plus activities throughout the Fairgrounds. These seat locations are renewable each year.

Sections 1 - 16 are folding metal chairs on flat ground. Side Boxes are elevated folding metal chairs. Side Bleachers are elevated wooden bleachers with backs. Center Bleachers are contoured stadium-style seats elevated above the floor.
