In addition to exploring 50 years of MJF images in our new book “The Art of Jazz:  Monterey Jazz Festival / 50 Years”, you can view a half-century retrospective of our posters and program covers at the Monterey Museum of Art (located at 559 Pacific Street in Monterey), from June 16 through October 21, 2007.

The show, a complement to the Museum's “Henri Matisse: Jazz” exhibition of important and rarely seen prints, was launched with a special private viewing of the exhibitions and a concert with special appearance by MJF Artist-In-Residence Terence Blanchard on June 26. Proceeds will benefit the Monterey Museum of Art and Monterey Jazz Festival youth programs.
