Hydeus Kiatta Memorial Fund

November 2006 brought the loss of a talented and charismatic young jazz vocalist and composer, Hydeus Kiatta, a Monterey County native. Hydeus’s family, together with Monterey Jazz Festival, has created a Fund in her memory to help support the Festival's youth jazz education programs.

Bob Phillips Endowment

Monterey Jazz Festival has established an endowed fund in honor of one of Monterey's most beloved musicians and teachers, Bob Phillips, whose life of service through music has enriched our community for over 30 years.

Paul Vieregge Production Internship

Named for Paul Vieregge, the Monterey Jazz Festival Stage Manager Emeritus who passed away on March 30, 2009, after a battle with cancer, the Paul Vieregge Production Internship consists of a position and stipend given to a deserving student who will assist the staff of Monterey Jazz Festival during the summer months and through the Festival.
