Benefit Concert for Dayna Stephens in Oakland, February 17
Bay Area saxophonist Dayna
Stephens,
a 1997 member of the Next Generation Jazz Orchestra,
is a rising star in the jazz world. On February 17th,
at 6:30pm, renowned pianist Taylor Eigsti and
the Brubeck Institute Jazz Quintet will
be hosting a concert at the Piedmont Piano Company
in Oakland to raise money towards covering Dayna’s
immense medical expenses due to a rare kidney disease
called Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis (FSGS) which
affects 20 out of every 1 million people. Dayna is
waiting on an urgently-needed kidney transplant.
100%
of all proceeds raised will go directly to Dayna through
the Jazz
Foundation of America. Please come out for
a very meaningful night of music if you can! To learn
more, visit http://jazzfoundation.org/DaynaStephens.
