Monterey Jazz Festival’s 2015 Artist-in-Residence, Wynton Marsalis, once said that "jazz music can connect us to our earlier selves and to our better selves-to-come. It can remind us of where we fit on the time line of human achievement, an ultimate value of art."

The vision of Monterey Jazz Festival is to enrich life through jazz. We know you share this vision, as you have dedicated your time each September to celebrate the joy of music and the community it creates. With your help we can be a part of the crusade that ensures music, and jazz, is made available to all young people.

Monterey County Gives! begins November 12 and ends at midnight on December 31 and will match your gift up to 15%. Thank you for believing in the value of creating opportunities that connect today’s youth to jazz. Our work would not be possible without your support.

Monterey County Gives! is made possible by the Monterey County Weekly’s Community Fund at the Community Foundation for Monterey County.

Thirteen of our Next Generation Jazz Orchestra alumni were recently spotted in two Vanity Fair articles, These Millenials Are Shaking Up the Jazz World, and The Jazz Youthquake: Others on the Upswing — Ambrose Akinmusire, Will and Peter Anderson, Eddie Barbash (pictured), Kris Bowers, Justin Brown, Dominick Farinacci, Jonathan Finlayson, Marcus Gilmore, Sammy Miller, Hailey Niswanger, Adam O’Farrill, and Elena Pinderhughes — are all rising stars in the jazz world. You have helped make that possible through your contribution.
