Exciting NEW Additions!

Grass Sod on Arena Floor
A first for the Monterey Jazz Festival, the Arena will feature grass sod on its floor instead of woodchips! We think this will be a new tradition for the Festival!

Hi-Def Daylight Screens
Another illuminating development for the Arena is the upgrading of the big screen on the Jimmy Lyons Stage. Starting in 2014, we will have two 7.5’ by 10’ hi-definition digital screens on each side of the stage, and they will be visible during the day too!

Self Storage Lockers
This year, the Festival will be adding self-storage lockers so you can safely stash your merchandise, souvenirs, and cold-weather clothing over the weekend! Located inside the entrance to the Fairgrounds by Gate 5, space is limited and will sell out fast!

Bicycle Valet from Monterey Green Action & Green Pedal Couriers
In 2008, the Festival introduced free Bicycle Valet Parking for patrons to commute to the Grounds from local hotels and residences in partnership with the Fairgrounds, Monterey Green Action and Green Pedal Couriers. The free Bicycle Valet Service is located near Fairgrounds Gate 3, on the corner of Fairground Road and Garden Road.

Add the Premier Club to Your Weekend!

The Premier Club has become the hospitality center for the Annual Monterey Jazz Festival. Guests enjoy a central Festival location to comfortably relax featuring complimentary catering by AQUA TERRA Culinary and non-alcoholic beverages, a no-host “top-shelf” bar, closed-circuit Arena simulcasts and private restrooms.

Arena or Grounds Ticket purchase is required. A Premier Pass does not allow entry to the Monterey Jazz Festival. Premier Passes are nontransferable. For Premier Club Passes, call 888.248.6499 or purchase online.

2014 Jazz Legends Gala Honors
Charles Lloyd!

The Jazz Legends Gala, established in 2007, features the presentation of the Jazz Legends Award to a leading and distinguished contributor to the world of jazz. Monterey Jazz Festival is pleased to announce that it will honor saxophonist, composer and 2015 NEA Jazz Master Charles Lloyd on Thursday, September 18 at 6 pm at InterContinental The Clement Monterey on Cannery Row! Hosted by special guest and Host Herbie Hancock, music will be provided by DownBeat Poll Winner Cécile McLorin Salvant. The Gala includes a wine, beer, cocktail and hors d’oeuvres reception featuring a performance by Monterey Jazz Festival’s Next Generation Jazz Orchestra, dinner, and a silent auction.  Proceeds from the Jazz Legends ’s education programs.
